What is a fanlisting?

To quote from the TAFL website: "A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject."

Short rambling about the site's name...

I usually come up with site names while making the graphics for it, and I had quite a hard time in trying to come up with the perfect name for this site. At first, I considered getting inspiration from the manga chapter titles, and from the anime episode titles. I gave up after a few lame combination of titles ._____. I decided to take a break and instead devoted my time to catching up with the recent Gokusen scanlations, and wham! "Beating the Odds" floated out of nowhere. I actually laughed at myself for not being able to come up with that sooner xDDD I mean, besides the pun on the word "beating", it was the best phrase to describe Yankumi and her precious students :DDD
